Therefore CA's (Rich Aldridge? Maybe?) statement about *Lizardmen* now being a faction they've definitely like to revisit is interesting to me, because of course they do need a revisiting, but why not mention Norsca there - unless there's already things in the pipeline at the time that statement was made (as with WoC).īasically I think nobody would argue that WoC -> Norsca -> Lizardmen is a pretty viable Rework schedule, and I don't think it's a coincidence that they said "we think Norsca most needs a rework" at the time they were making WoC's rework, and are now saying "we think the Lizardmen need a rework", if that makes sense and I'm not reading between the lines too much. who now know at that time must've had their rework be in the full stages of development at the time of that statement about Norsca being made. In fact they were called out by CA in pre-WH3-release material (so what like, maybe 9 months ago at this point?) as being the 'faction most in need of a rework', which is odd because at the time of course that would be WoC. I'm sure it'll be much longer than that but I highly doubt they've been idle. They're the only WH1 and therefore oldest faction to have never recieved a mechanical rework, and the WH2 team were in a ~6-month cadence for pumping out said reworks. I mean it'll be interesting to see, but they're certainly coming sooner than most factions. Think we missed one? Give us a Modmail and suggest new Subreddits to add to the lists! Welcome to /r/TotalWar!Ī subreddit for all of those who love the Total War series. Though Norscan provinces can be settled, and coastal towns can be taken as outposts, income from building chains is severely limited. The faction are not a horde like Beastmen or Chaos, but they do sustain themselves in much the same way through persistent sacking of rich settlements. Plenty of players will probably get it for free though, as it’s a novel bonus for anybody who buys Warhammer 2 between now and one week after release. Like other DLC factions, Norsca will still appear in the Grand Campaign to fight against, even if you don't. Note: if you dont own the dlc you need to buy it from 'HERE'. Norsca’s two Lords (skull fashion afficionado Wulfrik and three-time vomiting world champion Throgg) keep their raiding and ravaging strictly to the main campaign, and the DLC is priced accordingly at $10. Norsca is a major playable faction in Total War Warhammer and in Mortal Empires will release in 31may with Queen and Crone DLC. That’s consistent with Creative Assembly’s stated policy towards future expansions, which will focus more on additional Legendary Lords and larger rosters. Norsca are also the first paid DLC faction to come without a separate mini-campaign.
